In the Complete your Shipment section, click Save for Later to update the Pending Shipment or click Ship to process the shipment.To edit any other information for a shipment, select the Pending Shipment, click Edit, and make any necessary changes.NOTE: You cannot edit the Weight field if the shipment contains more than one package.These changes will be applied when you click the Ship button.

How long is FedEx pending?Ī Pending Shipment is a shipment record saved to be processed later. The bad news is that it is not yet out for delivery – almost, but not yet. The good news is that it is almost at its destination. If you see this message continue to check the tracking information every couple of hours to see what changes (if any) have been made. Or maybe it continues to have that Schedule Delivery Pending message for 24 hours to 48 hours until something in the FedEx chain “shakes loose” and your package starts moving again. You might wake up in the morning and find a “FedEx Scheduled Delivery Pending” message, check it in the middle of the morning and see that it hasn’t changed, and then have another look at noon, and it’s been updated to a “Package is Out for Delivery” update. The critical thing to understand about this message is that the folks at FedEx will constantly update it as the delivery commitment changes. Still, sometimes it means something happened along the logistical chain in FedEx that has slowed or delayed your package, too. Sometimes it means that your package has been delayed for reasons entirely out of the control of the folks at FedEx (inclement weather always throws a monkey wrench into things). This message – “ FedEx Scheduled Delivery Pending” – basically means that FedEx is doing absolutely everything to make sure that your package gets to its ultimate destination (maybe your doorstep) as quickly as humanly possible. What does it mean when FedEx says scheduled delivery is pending? It is a pervasive status message to get when you are tracking your FedEx package, so if it keeps popping up when you have things sent to you via FedEx (or are sending items out through FedEx, too), there’s nothing to be concerned with. What does it mean when the FedEx tracking system says “schedule delivery pending”? It means that the delivery schedule for your package is not yet ready – it is pending.
